Cracking Fully Explained

Cracking Explained.

Hi,

In case anybody is unfamiliar with the cracking programs I am here to explain.

Userlists: Basically a userlist is a .txt (notepad) file which contains a list of usernames.

Ex. Bob
Marley
Steve
Photonman

Password List: A password list is a .txt (notepad) file which contains a list of passwords. Usually they should be common passwords.

Ex. 123456
password
qwerty
secret

Together: When you load these into the cracker, the program will patch up the usernames with the password combos until it gets a match.

Ex. Bob - 123456
Marley - qwerty
Steve - password
Photonman - secret

Proxies: A proxy server is a server that acts as a go-between for requests from clients seeking resources from other servers. This means we will be able to mask our ip address from other sites.

For the crackers we use a proxy list.

Ex. 66.249.71.43
194.8.75.26

What does this for?: Some sites like rapidshare ban our ip addresses after multiple logins. By using proxies we are able to pretend to be other computers which will enable us to login multiple times without getting our ip address banned.
