Traveling back to Qinghuangdo we noticed that another crowd gathered outside the station and when we got entered it the place was crammed full of people waiting for their trains. Clearly the station was too small for the Summer crowd visiting the city.
So myself and Jeppe escaped back outside and chilled with the mad locals. One of whom was teasing Jeppe for not shaving his legs. A group of kids entertained us with their variation on "scissors, paper, stone" where if stone wins the winner throws a punch, a slap for paper and a poke to the eyes with scissors.
After 30 minutes or so we boarded the train and travelled back to Beijing. This was the first time we'd ever seen drivers somehow driving onto the station platforms to pick up their friends, despite the huge crowds disembarking...Bonkers!
